The popular basket top mantel clock was introduced by Joseph Knibb, circa 1675.

This solid Mahogany clock has a Westminster eight day movement with automatic chime sequence correction and chime silencer. The Westminster chime melody sounds each quarter and a strike occurs on the hour.

The face of the clocks includes brass dial plates with “antiqued” cherub spandrels, silver plated chapter ring and etched motif. Fine period hands and lacquered brass fittings complete the look.

Each item is delivered with a 12 months warranty and support card signed by the person who made the final inspection of your clock.

Dimensions:
Height 11.5” (290mm)
Width 7.75” (195mm)
Depth 4.75” (120mm)

Full instructions are included with the clock. The following indicates the set-up and maintanence required.
A chiming clock needs to be set in the following way:
• Fully wind each keyhole clockwise weekly. Each spring should be wound until a definite resistance is felt. It is not possible to over-wind the mechanism under normal use. Fully wound, the clock will run for a period greater than 8 days.
• To syncronise the clock mechanism move the minute hand clockwise as required. Allow the clock to run for 1 hour. If the number struck does not match the hour indicated, push the hour hand to the correct position.
• It is now recommended that the clock is silenced when setting the time through the quarters.
• Set the time by moving the minute hand clockwise until the minute and hour hand read correct time.

NB. This item may ship direct from the manufacturer and take a few extra days to be delivered. We will inform you of the expected shipment date.
