Weather Display Live is an add-on for Weather Display which allows you to display live weather data over the web from your weather station in nearly real time.
Version 6 was released in August 2008 and there are many new features including a major new application – the WDL Configurator. This is a program that provides a graphical interface for arranging WDL and the generation of the xml configuration files. Other new features include playback of videos using the very popular flv format and more styling options for dials and gauges.
Using Macromedia Flash™ Weather Display Live presents a continually updating display of your weather information. You can choose what weather information you want displayed, how you want it displayed and you can choose the units to display it with.
Flash currently reaches 98% of Internet-enabled desktops worldwide (Macromedia statistics) and the player is free. All you need is your own website, Weather Display set up to FTP live data, and Weather Display Live. There is no requirement for server side scripting technologies such as databases, php or asp - it really is that simple!
In addition you can add your own web cam image and even your own MesoMap.
This is an actual view of our weather station. The image will resize with the window. You must be using WeatherDisplay32 to publish the raw data for WeatherDisplay Live.
Weather Display Live can include a your WebCam, a MesoMap and Lightening data.
You can use a WebCam from any source but WeatherDisplay32 makes an ideal image publisher.
If you wish to use the MesoMap option it will display as a "trial version" until you subscribe to MesoMap. The annual subscrition is £12.50/$20.00. The first year is available in this section of our web site.
WeatherDisplay Live is a web server based application. To use it correctly you will need your own web server space, with the ability to publish data to it. If you don't already have your own hosted domain then this facility is often supplied as part of your internet package by your ISP.
Before we can license your WeatherDisplay Live we will need to know the web site domain, i.e. www..co.uk, you will be asked for this at our chck out. If you do not yet have it registered simply state "TBA" and we will await your further confirmation before completing the license.
