All of our products are supplied with batteries either by the manufacturer or in some cases by us. These batteries are always of a known make and quality suitable for the product.
We generally don't recommend the use of rechargeable batteries. They will not cause a fault but their characteristics may give false readings vis a vie battery condition and on occasions this can cause transmission or reception problems. If you wish to use rechargeable batteries then we suggest you try them for yourself and see if they work OK.
When it comes to replacing batteries, although we carry stocks ourselves, you will probably find it more convenient to buy them locally. In which case we recommend that you use quality branded product rather than own brand products. We have seen instances, particularly of supermarket own brand products, that appear to be fully charged simply not working.
Batteries are considered a consumable and not covered by warranty other than from new. Although we supply all of our products with the batteries included there are occasions when there may be the odd one that is less than perfect and does not last as long as might be expected, for this we apologise but are sure you will understand. Likewise when it comes to replacing batteries yourself there are occasions when a new battery may be sub standard or even lifeless. If after replacing batteries your weather station or clock still does not work try testing both the old and the new batteries. If you don't have a tester or a meter try swapping them into something else battery powered and see if that works.
