Traditional barometers require calibration.
To calibrate your barometer you need to source the current pressure in your location. You can find your current pressure by viewing the BBC's Weather Website and entering your postcode.
You then need to use the adjusting screw on the reverse of the case or mechanism to move the needle to your current pressure reading.
The ideal time to set your barometer's reading is during a period of steady pressure.
